Lady Deadpool finally makes her big-screen debut

Marvel Studios has finally given the fans what they've been asking for: a look at Lady Deadpool, the true star of the upcoming film. In the new trailer, we get a glimpse of the character's backstory, her powers, and her relationship with Deadpool. Lady Deadpool is a female counterpart of Deadpool from the alternate reality Earth-3010, and she's just as deadly and snarky as her male counterpart. Out of a need to belong, WEB Lady Deadpool apparently sacrificed her life during a fight against evil Deadpools when she piloted the Bea Arthur into the planet-eating Galactipools head. She was arguably the leader of the Deadpool Corps, or at very least co-leader with 616-Deadpool.

In the trailer, we see Lady Deadpool in action, taking on hordes of enemies with her katanas and her signature pink and black costume. She's also shown interacting with Deadpool, and the two of them share a playful banter that's sure to please fans of the character. Lady Deadpool is a welcome addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and she's sure to be a fan favorite when the film is released later this year.
