Ferrari Unveils Purosangue, Its First-Ever Four-Door SUV

Italian luxury carmaker Ferrari has unveiled Purosangue Type F175, its first-ever four-door, four-seater SUV. The introduction marks a significant departure from tradition for the brand, known for its high-performance sports cars.
The Purosangue, meaning "thoroughbred" in Italian, was unveiled on September 13, 2022, after years of anticipation. It is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine that produces 715 horsepower. The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of 193 mph.
While the Purosangue's four-door design may shock traditional Ferrari enthusiasts, the company emphasizes that it remains true to its sporting ethos. The SUV features a spacious cabin with ample room for four adults, as well as a large cargo area. It also incorporates advanced technologies, including a digital instrument cluster, head-up display, and advanced driver-assistance systems.
The Purosangue is expected to go on sale in 2024. Pricing has not yet been announced, but it is anticipated to be in line with other Ferrari models, with a starting price of around $400,000.
