Bears GM Ryan Poles to Attend Mizzou-Boston College Game

Scouting Potential Draft Prospects

Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Poles will be in attendance at the Mizzou-Boston College game on Saturday to scout potential draft prospects. The Bears have the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, and Poles is expected to be looking at players who could fill needs on the team's roster. Some of the players that Poles could be watching include Mizzou quarterback Brady Cook, wide receiver Dominic Lovett, and defensive end Isaiah McGuire. Cook is a redshirt sophomore who has thrown for 2,566 yards and 21 touchdowns this season. Lovett is a redshirt junior who has caught 56 passes for 846 yards and nine touchdowns this season. McGuire is a redshirt senior who has 32 tackles and 5.5 sacks this season.

Other Players on Poles' Radar

In addition to Cook, Lovett, and McGuire, Poles could also be looking at other players on Mizzou's roster, such as running back Nathaniel Peat, offensive tackle Javon Foster, and cornerback Ennis Rakestraw. Peat is a redshirt junior who has rushed for 1,013 yards and 10 touchdowns this season. Foster is a redshirt senior who has started all 12 games at left tackle this season. Rakestraw is a redshirt junior who has 27 tackles and two interceptions this season. The Bears are in need of help at a number of positions, so Poles is expected to be looking at players who can contribute right away. The Bears have a young team with a lot of potential, and Poles is hoping to add some pieces to the puzzle that can help the team take the next step in 2023.
